Welcome to the "Counselor's Corner" at Clyde Elementary. My name is Jeannie Best. I have been the counselor at Clyde Elementary for 15 years. I love working with children and their families. In my job as Counselor, I am able to visit students in their classrooms, work with them in small groups and visit with them individually. I work with teachers and parents to help make school a place children want to be each day and where they can feel accepted and successful.

My door is always open for students and parents. There doesn't need to be a 'problem' to stop by and visit. When students do have specific needs, I help them discover skills and develop a 'plan' that will work in their situation.

The Counselors of Clyde CISD will work with all students to develop and establish social, personal and academic goals to gain confidence in order to achieve personal success.
