1st graders have completed Safe Side Superchick's "Stranger Safety." We learned

• to stay safe by being aware of situations and the people around us.

• about people who are "Safe Side Adults" people (like mom, dad, grandparents),

• "Kinda Know" people and "Don't Know" people.

Kindergarten students will be revisiting our "I Care" Rules and learning more about treating each other with respect and ways we can get along with each other, even the people we don't like. "I Care" Cat will be reminding us of 5 very important rules:

• We Listen to each other


• Hands are for helping NOT for hitting & hurting


• We use "I Care" words


• We care about each others feelings


• We are RESPONSIBLE for what we say and do

We all have conflicts. What we do & say affects others. Everyone wants an environment where people become friends, learn to work & play cooperatively and learn to respect all living things. If we can remember "I Care's" 5 rules, we can learn ways to deal with our conflicts and make life better for everyone.
