HOMEWORK
Homework is due at the beginning of class the next school day after the student receives the assignment.
SCIENCE: DAILY WORK & TESTS

LATE WORK
Ten points will be taken off each day an assignment is late. For example, the highest grade possible for a paper three days late is a "70". If a paper is more than three days late, a zero will be given. This grading policy rule is for assignments not turned in due to student neglect and does not pertain to make-up work due to an excused absence. We will begin the Late Work policy on the first day of the 4th week of school. Our students will be given time to adjust to the policy during the first three weeks of school.
MAKE-UP WORK
Make-Up Work is given the day the student returns after an absence. THE STUDENT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR GETTING HIS/HER MAKE-UP WORK ASSIGNMENTS FROM THE TEACHERS. The student has a number of days equal to the number of days he or she was absent to complete the work. If the student doesn’t turn in assignments during the allotted time, points for Late Work will be taken from the total grade for each assignment. If a student doesn't understand the assignment and therefore cannot complete it in a timely manner, the parent should send a note requesting assignment clarification. We are flexible-please let us know if there are special circumstances.
PLEASE NOTE: Make-up work will be given when the student returns from an excused absence after the student requests his/her missed assignments. Some students may be "excused" from some assignments at the teacher's discretion.
