Effective communication skills, when mastered, enable today's youth to become productive members of America's workforce. Changing technologies and social and corporate systmes demand that participants send clear messages, choose effective nonverbal behaviors, listen effectively, and apply critical-thinking and problem solving skills to resolve workplace issues.

Students are expected to
*demonstrate knowledge of various communication processes in social and professional contexts.

*use appropriate interpersonal-communication strategies in professional and social contexts.

*communicate effectively in groups in professional and social contexts.

*make and evaluate formal and informal professional presentations.

Daily Assingments 34%
Presentations 33%
Tests/Notebooks 33%

The three six weeks grades and the final semester exam will be used to figure semester grade.
